Update to Creator Criteria

When we first envisioned  the Polyarc Creator Program, we set out with a few fundamental goals in mind. One of those goals was to support VR creators — a vibrant, blossoming community within a growing technology niche. We examined several programs, including traditional 2D games, to craft something that could support Moss and Moss: Book II players as well as expand to other Polyarc games.

When we launched the program last month, we were blown away by the support we received. We also saw a fair amount of valid, critical feedback around the criteria we launched with. We’re sincerely grateful for this engagement, as it gave us the opportunity to hear directly from the community we aim to serve and make improvements accordingly. We’re listening, and today, we’re relaunching the program to strip away the criteria that made it feel more like a walled garden. Now there are only four requirements that we ask of all applicants to the program:

  1. A passion for Moss, Moss: Book II, Glassbreakers, and/or other Polyarc games. We’re storytellers through and through, and whether you’re just starting off or you’ve been creating content for the last few years, we want to help you tell your story.
  2. An excitement about the future of VR, whether it's gaming or the broader field of technology. Virtual reality might be in its infancy, but its potential is limitless. We’re excited about exploring that future together.
  3. Adherence to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) if participating in early access playtests or previews of unannounced projects. We want your feedback, but only if you feel comfortable with the process. Don’t want to participate in early access perks but excited about everything else? That’s okay too.
  4. Adherence to our Creator Code of Conduct. We believe in treating others with respect, kindness, and empathy, and we expect our creators to hold the same values.

We hope to foster a space where creators feel supported, celebrated, and appreciated for the unique perspectives they bring to the table. And more than that, we want to work alongside creators, integrating their feedback into new projects so we can craft something incredible for the next generation of VR players.

To all our players and the VR creators who took the time to send us feedback on the initial launch of this program: thank you. Your input is invaluable to us, and we're thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with you in creating something incredible.

Sincerely,

Your Polyarc Community Team 🐭
